The Literacy Bridge
Some adults arrive reading at a first-grade level — little reading, less writing. They are not excluded; they are on-ramped. The Bridge carries a learner from their true starting point to the threshold of the Common Knowledge module. It is patient, oral-first, and free of shame: every written exercise has a spoken equivalent, and a human guide is assigned at enrollment.
Sounds & Marks
Letters, sounds, and how marks become words. Read aloud with a guide; nothing assumed. Oral recitation counts as much as the written word.
Words & Sentences
Sight words, phonics in context, handwriting and keyboard. Short real texts — a label, a letter, a receipt — before any textbook.
Paragraphs & Meaning
Reading for the idea, not just the word. Finding the main point, retelling it in your own voice, asking the text a question.
The Common Knowledge Module
Everything an adult needs to function, reason, and rise — GED-equivalent, except mathematics, which stops at basic algebra and two-variable systems. Pass it by coursework, or test out. Each subject is a real course: lessons, a mastery check at 80%, an applied task. Clear all seven — either way — to hold Navigator and move up the ladder.
Reading the Word, and Reading the World
Literature does not exist in a vacuum. CK-1 trains prose, figurative language, and contextual reading — and bias training: how to read in the context of the author’s time, place, and interest. Not everything begins and ends with the word on the page.
Test Out of the Module
Demonstrate mastery and clear the gate in one sitting — the same standard, compressed (80% to pass; answers and explanations shown only after submission). Passing mints +3 $IN and +1 $VO for demonstrated mastery. Need intensive help instead? The coursework track is that help: go slow, get guided, arrive whole.
The Core Academic Tracks
Each track climbs from foundation to collegiate level in one discipline. Course codes are playable or in-review syllabi on the record; named stages beyond them are the published map the catalog is growing into.
The Common Core — Eighteen Doors That Open From the Inside
One analytical grammar of power, wealth, law, land, and information. The doors open in sequence — each seal satisfies the next door’s prerequisite and mints +1 $IN. Open to all readers; the record keeps your rank whether or not you ever join the fraternity.
