The Six Tiers
What the Ladder Measures
A researcher should not have to follow the same path as a carpenter; an entrepreneur not the same as an educator. The hierarchy recognizes different forms of useful expertise.
What you understand
FOUNDATIONAL → SECONDARY → COLLEGE READY → UNDERGRADUATE → ADVANCED → SCHOLAR
Measured by placement, sealed courses, and mastery checks at the 80% standard.
What you can do
BEGINNER → APPRENTICE → COMPETENT → ADVANCED → PROFESSIONAL → EXPERT
Measured by applied tasks, portfolio artifacts, supervised experience, and external credentials where they exist.
Your standing in the house
CREW → NAVIGATOR → CARTOGRAPHER → WARRIOR → CHIEF → KOKEBE
Computed from education + competency + contribution + service — the three progressions communicating without becoming identical.
Credentials & Tier Gates
Stopping after Level 1 with a working household system is success, not attrition. The ladder locks to the tier gates at three thresholds.
| Level | Credential | Duration | What it certifies |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Life Certificate | ~4–8 weeks per cluster | Immediate household and civic capability |
| 2 | Foundation Badge | ~6–12 weeks | Disciplined grounding (bookkeeping, trades math, economic literacy) |
| 3 | Occupational Certificate | ~3–9 months | Certification-backed employable skill |
| 4 | Apprenticeship / Practicum | Paid, supervised | Verified capability in real settings |
| 5 | Advanced Professional Fellowship | Advanced | Licensing, ownership, teaching junior cohorts — the faculty pipeline |
| Credential gate | Tier unlocked | Ascension craft |

The Uniqversity Is Also an Economy
Education creates value inside the ecosystem. Coins are minted for demonstrated learning and verified contribution — never for clicking, never for paying. No one buys their way to mastery, advancement, or rank.
Coins enhance the ecosystem without corrupting the educational mission. Core academic learning remains fundamentally accessible. Coins cannot substitute for passing assessments, completing prerequisites, demonstrating competency, or completing professional requirements. A learner earns advancement by learning; economic participation exists alongside academic progression, never instead of it.
The Regalia Shelf
Soulbound regalia — engraved with the member’s name and lineage, struck only for ranks, paths, and specialties already earned. Purchasable only with $DON (Donation Coin), the sole currency accepted for physical goods.

Warrior’s Bracelet
Tier 3 · Silver two-sided signet · earned, never bought to rank

Chief’s Bracelet
Tier 4 · Silver, gold backing + charm bracelet · fraternity gate

The Gold Signet
Sovereign tiers · gold, emerald-cut lattice · Kokebe and above
If a bracelet or charm is duplicated, the bearer is immediately expelled unless foul play is proven. If the bearer is a Chief or holds leadership, every member below them is placed on hold — “rogues” — until they seek out and affirm a new leader under standard fraternity rules.
